why do xe and theo stream/record on... windows?
windows will always be the best desktop os - forever
it will always be the best for gaming, and will therefore always have the best graphics drivers (nvidia ❤️)
windows will always have the best sound system (don't tell me pulseaudio is good) the volume slider doesn't even work for my blafili b3, and the equalizer for linux is shit (no fxsound??)
windows will always have the best hdr support for gaming (and terminal!!!)
and the best recording (shadowplay? or just obs with hvenc encoder)
the best/second best screenshare (mac good too) (but no wlr-roots bs)
prettiest (wallpaper engine anyone?)

I struggled with the idea of not using linux because I hate UI. but look at my windows now
and what about window management? turns out all I was using sway for was multitasking. All I need is one big ass 21:9 screen and the occasional side by side vscode/browser setup. Zellij handles all my terminal splitting needs. I used to be so interested in the idea using sway for all tabs - I thought no app should ever implement tabs because we have sway! I would use firefox as one tab per window and tried hiding the tab bar just so I could put them all in a tabbed sway container - the madness!
that reminds me how linux is slow as shit and always has scrolling problems and browser performance issuse compared to just fucking windows - same with mac low key on safari at least (yeah maybe i should be on arc/chrome - idk man)
